Anyone want to guesstimate another combos power?
467 ci on 455 block, offset ground crank .030 over bore
eagle rods 6.8" Ross pistons iron intake Qjet, worked of course iron manifolds 48 heads, maybe with porting. Would it be worth it with the stock manifolds? either a flat hydraulic or hydraulic roller cam. The one Cliff is using for the roller, around a RAIV for flat. Other cam suggestion? No dish, dont mind compression and actually want to go that route. Fuel wont be a problem for the compression. Its not a pump gas engine. A stock RAIII looking sleeper, but would probably port the manifolds and the heads, if it helps much. Sort of like a F.A.S.T type ride. I could also build this with a 400 and a 4" crank and 6.625" rods, or a 400. Ideas on a smaller cid with more RPM? The gears will match the cam, and the car will be A body around 3200-3400 all up with driver. |

I small port job on those heads to take them from the stock intake flow of 205 cfm@28" to 230 will get you 460HP thru the stock intake and exh manifolds.
With a big CID long stroke motor pumping thru exh manifolds going for a flow increase on the exh side up to 180 cfm up form the stock 160 is enough, provided that the low lift flow is kicked up by use of a 30 degree back cut valve and a 2 to 3 angle seat in the head. For these under 500 hp builds installing hardend exh seats makes it far easyer to get the good low lift flow 3 angle seats in there even though you will loose a tad of exh throat area. |
