Default '62 Trunk Lid Same As '63?

Need to order a fiberglass trunk lid for my '63 and VFN only lists this for a '62. I'm assuming they are the same, but want confirmation before ordering.

The real deal in steel is in no way the same between years. I know the '62 deck lid too well, having spent a couple hours polishing mine last week. Also, the '62 is a much shorter car than the '63.

Not even close. I have a steel '61 (& 62?) if you need it.

I would call them, they probably have one but don't list it. The 62 is not close to the 63 at all. Pat

61 & 62 is the same, 63 is different. The 62 listed on VFN will not fit a 63. There is a section on VFN for all the 63 Tempest/LeMans stuff but I dont see a trunk/deck lid. I know they used to offer it. may want to give them a call & see if it is still available.

Glad I posted this question. Will give VFN a call tomorrow.

Mike - Will check with Glasstek if VFN falls through.

I bought a '63 decklid from VFN a few years ago and it's an excellent part. I can't imagine they wouldn't make one up for you, if you ask.

I have used many VFN parts over the years and been very happy with them. I did however get a decklid for my 65 GTO that was junk. Had to put a half gallon of primer on it to make it even remotely flat. Glasstek made the bumpers for the car. (used my chrome bumpers for the molds) They fit and look great. What does this mean ? Hell, I don't know! Good luck bud. Mike

Just called VFN - $166 plus shipping. Looks like that's what I'm going with. Will also order the front valence panel and both bumpers. Car is in body shop and need to get some parts on order.
