Thanks everyone, the day went well after I replaced the belt that blew off just a block from the shop. Looks like the alternator fan came apart and took the belt out...which of course went right into the hood. The engine is a 473, filled block, eagle rods and crank, ross pistons, comp solid roller, 72 cc E-heads that flow around 310, Victor intake with 1050 dominator.

Fan carnage...

Ouch!! I hate those little fans. I like the Jap and Mopar altenators with internal fans. Carnage like yours is one of several reasons. Glad the dyno session went well. Good stuff.

Funny you should say that....this is exactly how the indian got on the hood. The blower belt came off before. The hood is going back to a solid color and I'm putting the Lemans GT stripes on.

I'm rethinking the alternator, maybe a Toyota style
