slick pressure
Ok its going to be 90+ degrees sunday with dew points close to 70*... I normally run 17 3/4 air in my 26 " slicks.. when its this hot and muggy or moist... whats better more air in tires or less? To get it to hook....?

Have you had problems in that environment before running 17#? I think I would do 17 and if the 60 is where you think it should be leave it. If not drop a #. Hot and humid will drop the power some so you have to figure out if a slower 60 is due to less power or less traction. You probably have similiar conditions in your logbook as much as you race and that will give an indication of what to expect. Is this Darby Im talking to? You have won more rounds in one year than I have ever run LOL I should be asking you not answering.
On the tire deal, dont you think Its all in the contact patch? whatever air pressure puts the biggest footprint on the track. That will vary with every car naturally. |

We'll with the taller 28 tires last yr it would spin more it seemed... it seems with the lower gear in trans and smaller tires it hooks much better!.Maybe better gear multiplication or something.. Last race it layed down 5 -1.83's.It was deadly consistant along with 4- 13.10's.But that was only about 77 degrees. Havn't run it in this hot yet this year... and yes i have looked in my log book,lol.. and Yes Its me ,
