Default Magnaflow 12578 22" Body Fit 68 GTO?

I'm thinking of getting the 3" in/out 5x11 22" body Magnaflow's since I've heard they are very quiet but flow great. Has anyone fit them in a 68-72 A-Body? I plan to use a 3" Pypes X and my current 2.5" tailpipes.

If you can whack out the tank and place them like this, a perfect fit!
Seriously, you wil have to be careful on the exit as they are 2" longer than the Super Turbo 17749. You can shorten the inlet and outlet and gain some room though.

I have Magnflows on my 66 GTO, I believe they are the 18" body length, 3" in/out. Definitely quieter than the 14" M/Fs I had on. Been on 6 years now, still in perfect cond.

I saw on another site where someone had the 22" versions on a 67 427 Chevelle. They have a longer wheelbase though so I may have to go with either a Magnaflow or Pypes Race Pro 18", whichever is quieter.

25" total length offset-offset is what it had new so they will fit right under.

I ended up using Dynamax 17560 welded. 2 1/2 2 1/2 25" total length offset-offset worked like a charm.
