Default Water pump weight

Does anyone know the actual weight difference between a stock iron pump and a Flowkooler aluminum pump?

Back when I was putting my '64 on a diet to go bracket racing I weighed both a cast iron pump and an aluminum pump.

If I recall correctly the weight savings was about 1-1/2 pounds, I do recall thinking the difference was hardly anything.

Just for reference:
I ended up with a PRW polished aluminum pump that I got from SD Performance. Looks really nice, works well and is a solid 5 lbs lighter than my stock iron pump.

To find out how much weight I would save by going to an aluminum pump but it looks like nobody knows.

Until now...

Good info, what about ditching it and going electric?
That will save weight and parasitic drag.
