Default 70 GTO 400 WT 4 SPD CARB LINKAGE QUESTION

I will try to explain this a clearly as possible
i purchased a 70 7040263 carb on e bay from a guy who does nothing but restores pont carbs.
I ran the carb on the break in stand to break in the cam and it ran great. now the motor is getting ready to sit in the frame off and one step closer to getting the gto rolling.
my problem is this the side of the carb for the throttle where you move to give gas to the motor has a pressed on fitting of two pieces one moves thje secondaries and the other is where the return spring goes i belive, this piece is about 3 1/2". I believe there is supposed to be anouthor piece pressed on to this which is much larger for the carb to work propperly
If any one could help i would as always greatley appricate

i will post a pic tommorrow I hope this will explain more clear { must locate camera}

If any one has a pic of this throttle side of carb it would be a great help

Well, a picture would best but as I read this I'm thinking you don't have the bracket that the accelerator cable actually mounts to. It's a bolt on piece that connects with two bolts to the bracket thats pressed on to the primary rod. Pretty sure they make them aftermarket in the PY catalog.

I don't see one in PY but Ames lists one N150B. I can't get the pic to upload though.

Pictured is the repro shaft (RPE399S, $62), throttle bracket with solenoid tab (RPE399, $17) and throttle bracket (RPE399M, $15. Picture is incorrectly marked RPE399S).

Picture can be seen in this thread...

Thank You Held For Ransom, again you have helped make my frame off easier.
