Default a pillar trim question

i want to mount my new tach to the a pillar trim panel inside my 1970 gto but i don't want to drill holes into my original trim panel... i am picking up a 1968 or 69 4 door chevelle for free, will that panel be the same?

No, the 4 door windshields are shorter and the A-pillar covers will be different since the A-pillar is a shorter length.

I Have taken this part out of many 4doors in the junk yard and it is the same, the window is the same and the interior trim is the same and the stainless front window trim also the same. It will bolt right in. I have seen them in both the metal and vinyl covered and could never figure out why some got the metal and others got the vinyl.
