Default 63 catalina

going to look at 63 cat for sale .any issues i should be aware of .places where they have rust issues

Check front frame where the curve ends & the long straight section begins. Other places should be obvious.

Check the wire harness better than I did

Default Trunk pan

It depends on where you are located but everyone here wants a trunk pan. If it was stored outdoors the trunk gasket seems to leak on all of these cars.

Check the perimeter section of the frame and inner rockers if you can get access to the car on a lift. A rust-prone area if you're in the salt belt.

thks for the tips car is 66000 miles all orignal says no rust not even a dent but i will check those areas . any thoughts what i should pay . i know its hard with out a pic . going to look at it next week

you might try searching ebay motors for 63 catalina completed listings. they seem to sell higher on ebay than what the buyers guides list them as. price depends upon options as well (engine, 8lugs, auto/manual, etc). also search the py forum. there's a ton of good info on this site.

lift the trunk mat,if rust even surface go deeper.Check the wheel wells REAL good.Then check the rear frame mounts.61-63 cars rust from the inside out in the trunk area.Some of the worst come from calif.Tom
