Ordered a kit from Steele rubber product's. I thought there product was fair. Also they seem expensive. I prefer softseal.

I was talking to a vendor at Carlisle that sold me the Chevelle rubbers for my 67 Tempest. He told me the door seals were the same, He was wrong. Sofseals worked fine for me, once I got the right ones. Beware the "same as a Chevelle" vendors out there.

I found out over the summer when I was re-doing a 79 Firebird Formula, buy NOS whenever possible. I purchased many items ranging from weatherstrips, carpet, door interior trim panels, stipe package, and a console lid. All I can say is I'm glad I wasn't doing an all out restoration. Almost everthing I bought didn't fit like the origianl parts that I removed. I purchased parts from both of the major Pontiac part suppliers.

I think this was discussed before. The consensus being that if you can find NOS, they're worth the extra money. Metro seemed to be the best alternative. I have Metro stuff on my car with no complaints.

just click the "online catalog" link near the top and then put in the year make and body style, they definately carry all the weatherstripping for your '68, just a little hard to find in there website.
