Default HEI conversion plugs gapped at ??

Getting ready to try my luck down the 1320, Just had my car switched over to a HEI, PLUGS ARE gapped at .045, can i go more or no??? Whats your thoughts?? Running a set of r44ts AC,S

I'm running .060" with a set of AC Delco plugs which I indexed, but I'm also running a 71,000 volt coil and race module. You can go higher with some of the multiple spark discharge boxes, but I haven't seen anyone go above .060".

You likely wont gain anything using a wider gap.

And it will require an extended gap specific plug.

Not the R44TS plugs...

And all those extended gap plugs are projected tip plugs,so consider the heat range carefully.

And projected tip plugs are not "racing" plugs really,so that's not making a big improvement here either.

Like I said,leave the R44TS plugs in there and keep them gapped at .045",JMO.

For more specific recommendations we would need a whole lot more in-depth info about this combo.
