ADD 100 HP...what kind of improvement?
Since there is a rule about 100 lbs reducing ET between .08 to .1 I wondered about ET decreases from HP.
EX: If you ran 12.20 and added 100 hp (flywheel) how much quicker would it run? Vehicle weight 3300# JD

HP is usually a better indicator of trap speed than ET.

www.wallaceracing.com click on auto calculators. You can find out what your HP is based on track times then add the 100 and see what the new et and mph etc would be. It depends on how fast you were to start. I believe the 100 lbs = 10 HP = .1 is based on 11 to 12 sec ets but wouldn't be as true in the low 10's or faster.
I pulled 750 lbs and added approx 70 HP and have shaved 1.4 from my ET's going from 12.10's to 10.70's.

It's a non-linear scale. Add the 100-HP to a 15 second car and it becomes a 14 second car. Do the same to a 12.20 car and may go 11.70 or so. Do the same to a Pro Stock car and it may go .01 quicker. Do the same to a Top Fuel car and there will be no noticeable difference.
