Default New to the board- 64 Cat drop top

Hi all. I just wanted to say hi and intrduce myself. I just purchased a 64 catalina convertible and am about to start resto on it. I will get pics soon. It is in great shape with very little rust (Texas car-now Canadian car )
I should also have a 64 catalina coupe in a week or so (parts donor). I look forward to seeking advice and looking for the odds and ends I am missing to complete this project. Both cars have the ventura option.

Welcome to the Darkside !! Congrats on your purchase, love that 64 slab-side styling.
Be sure to join the Pontiac Oakland Club International, great organization for us PontiManiacs and they publish a slick monthly magazine that is chock full of parts, info and vendors. Of coarse you'll want to get a Big Car Catalog from our host Performance Years. Good luck in your project and keep us posted.

Justaguy,

As a fellow '64 cat drop top owner: WELCOME. You'll find we're a little looney here, but have good time. Where in Canada are you? I have a good friend up that way who has a '64 2 door ht with dual quads.

And please, feel free to post any questions, ask for help, or give advice. Nothing too simple or stupid here.

Ooooopps, didn't see the lobby, was looking for the new mwmbers area but never saw it. Thanks. I am in Ontario, Canada. I am quite happy with the new car. It has never been painted. It's missing a fewe things as the previous owner started a resto and misplaced items but I think I have found most of what I need.(Don't waste time, want her on the go asap )

Another WELCOME!

We might be a motley bunch, but between us we know a bunch about the big cars.

TX is a great place to have a car from. I have a '63 from there that is nice & clean.

You are so right about getting it going. Sitting seems to be the worst thing for these cars - and their owners too.
