I have emailed the seller and he claims that the original owner sold it to him as original, I gave him plenty of accurate information to investigate its validity. We'll see if he post his findings on the auction link. It has clearly been altered.

With the prices of original equipment muscle cars today we will be seeing much more of this crap as time goes on, thats a given. Note www.trimtags.com... That being said..... man, what an obvious fake this is!!!

I know a guy who had his 68 GTO body blasted and they ruined his trim tag. He had to order one and it looks fine and I see no problem with it.

Now if someone puts a bogus trim tag on a car for fraudulent purposes, that's a different story.

On the trim tag site they say they will not chang a bodystyle. only color combos and options. HOWEVER if selling that should be disclosed
