Power Brake Problems
I have power front disc/rear drum brakes on my 69 GTO convert 400 turbohydromatic. The brake drums and discs have recently been redone but the brakes still react like manual brakes - I do have them but have to depress the pedal hard to get any action.
The shop suggested replacing the master cylinder and booster, but also questioned what the vacuum should be at the booster. (I think they measured about 12 inches) I can't find that spec in my Service manual. Does anyone know this number? Any other helpful ideas. Thanks - Rick |

12" is fine. Was the car originally a power disc set up ? If not did you change the porpotioning valve.
