what's different about california carbs

i have a 74 chevy 350 california qjet.i'm not sure if i should rebuild it or get a non cal one.what exactly is the difference between cal. carbs and federal ones?
also truck ones.this is going on a 72,462. also any comments on the modesky carbs on ebay? any help appreciated,thanks,joe
