Wow, that's crazy. He must have unbuckled in mid flight?

I bet he never had the belts on. Or the seat bolted in properly either.

I wonder if he's the guy that welded the cage up in the Camaro, from the other thread?

Why would your seat fly out WTF?
I'll be putting in a window net also.
I can't believe he flew out of the car.

Can anyone say, "C-Clip Eliminator"! Once the axle broke and it pushed him to the left lane it was all over! He's one lucky dude!

I agree, either he didn't have his seat belt on or it was just a piece of "rope" that came untied! JD

it looks like the front passenger wheel was wobbling as he pulled up to the line. . .

No roll bar and probably OEM style seat belts. And NHRA lowered the roll bar requirement to 11.49? It amazes me what racers will run down the track with no safety equipment for the sole reason that NHRA/IHRA doesnt require it.

Dude is lucky to have survived that one.

How about the fact that the idiot hit the throttle AFTER he was in the other lane. What was he thinking?

also that was only at or around the 1/8 mile ,how fast could he be going ,60-70mph ,, 12.30 is about 108 in 1/4,
what if it was after the 1/4 ,
his luck would may have run out.
