Good thread! Been a long time since I'd logged on, glad I did. I have a 1969 GTO Judge Hardtop, Carousel Red exterior with parchment interior. It is/was a former dealer drag race car, ordered as a RA-IV with 3.90 and 4-speed. Bought the car in about ?1982 for $2,200.00 with a 421 bottom end and the RA-IV top end, a TH-400, a 3.07 open 12 bolt, and a black interior. Long story there....... jj

A bit of a sore subject with me. I bought my Orbit Orange 70 Judge in 1988. Ram lll, auto, a/c, 3:42 non-posi, January fourth week build at Arlington. Sold new in Tampa Fla. The replacment 428/370 h.p. engine was blown and pulled 10 years earlier. The Sandlewood interior was out and scattered. I bought it for $1250.00 from a farmer who needed a new manure spreader and didn't want to borrow any more money. He had been king of the local high school for exactly one month before the engine blew back in 1977. I got it and pulled it apart for restoration. In went a 400 engine, black interior, and then it came to the paint. I was still in my 20's and that old faded orange paint and pastel stripes didn't do a thing for me. I painted it the 70 Cardinal red. Older, wiser, ( I hope ) and a much more valuable car, I wish I had went with the original color. I do still have a gallon of Orbit Orange that I never used though.......
