Attaching emblems to vinyl door panels
I see someone was just asking about attaching emblems to the fenders and maybe losing them. That got me thinking as I am replacing the door panels and have to reuse the old GTO emblem. What is the recommended adhesive to us for the metal emblem to vinyl panel ?

Glue is a poor method for attaching them.....use the speed nuts on
the pins like the factory did. If you are attaching them you have the door panel off already so there is no reason to glue them on. |

Thanks for the response but unfortunately my emblems have probably been off and on too many times - there's only one short stub pin on one emblem, the other has none. So glue is the only alternative I see - I don't want to buy new ones. Any adhesive suggestions?

The repros look totally correct and are reasonably priced...buy
new ones and put them on with speed nuts. |

I recently purchased the repo door emblems and installed them with the speed nuts. Bought them from our host and they look awesome on the door panels. Glad I went this route instead of using my old ones.

If you want to get the right crease on the panel (caused by nuts crushing vinyl) you'll have to be imaginative, as glue won't give you that correct look...
