Default Pypes crossfow

I've ordered the Pypes crossflow system for my 74 TA. My previous system was headers, 3" mandrel bent, Super Turbo mufflers and a Dr. Gas. X pipe. I loved the sound. Any comments on the sound of the Pypes system. I've listened to the sound clips but it's hard to say. Speaker quality varies.

Hey Chris, I have the crossflow setup on the '73. I'm not real happy with the sound but then again I have the stock cam in the motor.
You may like the tone on yours with the "rumpty-rump".

Chris:

I to have the Pypes Crossflow system on my car with a "more than stock" cam and I like it. It has a real aggressive tone that I like. Others prefer to use the Walker Ultra Flow muffler in place of the Pypes supplied muffler to tone it down a little. I have not heard a car with this muffler so I cannot comment on it.

I will tell you that the Pypes supplied muffler is loud at idle but is really good on the road. All of the sound stays behind you and you can easily have a conversation in the car @ 70mph with windows down.

No issues from my perspective.

It's on the road that I'm concerned about. I'm doing the Hot Rod Power Tour next year and I don't want to end each day with a headache.

On the road,....no issues, its quiet. That's a positive attribute.

My car sounds good at initial idle upon "cold" start but of course the engine smooths out when warm.

I think you'll be happy with it.
