Ray is supposed to be staying home and running a series at US41 in Ind.

Here's the link for info and forum boards.

Rained "cats and dogs" last night outside Philly. Looks like it is overcast and some possible light showers per the weather channel. Sunday is not looking too good. Hopefully someone who is there can post on the weather before we head out tomorrow.

Ray said he wasn't going to make it because of his local deal.

langer qualified second to bruce maichle's 8.704 with an 8.85. bruce's new car must really be put together...it ran 157 on the big end. he's now officially the former king.

Bruce's car hadn't made a good 1/4 mile pass until the first round of qualifying, then he knocks one out of the park.
He did however, not "claim" the ET record (and the 50 extra points) as to allow Langer to try to reset the record. (In order to be awarded the record, the officials have to sign your timeslip after going on the scales and submitting a fuel sample)
Going into the final qualifying session, Langer has to run a 8.79 or better for those coveted points.
It's getting cooler, but VERY humid.

I don't think they will run today...raining cats and dogs again. Looks like it will be all day.
