Help Rookie Bodyman!!!!!!!!!!!
OK So I spent the day replacing door hinges on my 69 GTO because the doors were sagging. Now I have a PROBLEM! The passenger door lines up well when closed, gaps are good, the hight is good but when I open and close the door it rubs on the front fender causing the paint to CHIP!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHH! What gives.
Any ideas would be appreciated as always. John |

Going thru this myself. Crappy aftermarket door skin.
Try moving the door to the rear - loosen the bolts the attach hinge to frame. Also, you may have to move the door in (bolts hinge-to door) or move the fender out at the bottom. Rgards, Bob Trimpe |

how is the gap at the rear of the door? if they are good you need to adjust the front fender. To get perfect gaps always start from the rear and work forward.

As wagonmaster mentioned...start with a panel that is not adjustable such as the quarter panel and move forward from there. Another note, try to keep the leading edge of a panel even or slightly behind the panel in front of it. It makes for better clearance for opening and will not tend to beat the paint off the edge as badly with road rash, etc.
