Hi,
I just finished restoring a Rally II wheel for my 68 GTO. Previously I had a regular steel wheel and tire in the trunk. Is a Rally II placed in the trunk with the spokes up or or on the underside? How are the jack base and bumper adapter held on the threaded tire rod? Are there different spacers/rod centering plate for the Rally II compared to a steel wheel? A couple of pictures would be great. Thanks, Mike

Wasn't the adpapter bracket only on the 68's? I don't recall ever seeing a 69 GTO with the adpater bracket.

Yes,
I think you are correct. 68 had them, 69 did not. I'm a little miffed at myself for going to all of the trouble of restoring a Rally II wheel only to find out my handiwork will be face down. Maybe I should have looked at the decal/label on the underside of the trunklid. Oh well, live and learn. Mike
