Default AN Fitting question

Hey,

Have a question about AN fittings, Is it ok to use thread tape on the threads? or they dont need it? Thanks

Which part of the threads? The 45 deg. seat or the NPT part? It's OK on the NPT side if going into a block etc.

What Tempest455 swiad...not needed on the compressed fitting side...needed on the pipe thread side.

I use liquid teflon...not that tape junk...only on pipe thread fittings.

Dudes; teflon is a hydrocarbon based product that will weaken and disolve when exposed to other hydrocarbon based fluids. Best to use a sealant that will standup to the application. But no matter, nothing on the flare end of AN fittings. That's what the flared end is for.
