It's pretty much common knowledge the closer to center the hypoid angle, the more efficent the gear set is.
I'm wondering if the losses are linear depending on torque put through the gear set? Maybe it's ratio dependent, based off of input RPM? Tom's post indicated as speed went up the fictional losses didn't increase linearly. |
