Default New best time!

I apologize for bragging, but...

Last Sunday 22 of us, including members Jack Blum and Les Iden (aka Wheelspin) rented out the local 1/8th mile track for some test-n-tunes, sunshine and turkey sandwiches.

Unfortunately the track operator screwed up and I didn't get a timeslip for my final run of the day, but Jack Blum was there and caught it on film. Unfortunately I'll never know what the 60' time was on this run.

7.68 in the 1/8 mile = 12.288 in the 1/4 mile. Bettered my previous best time by over 6 hundredths!

I'll have more video later as I figure out this ULead software.

Thumbs up

Strong performance Bill.

Bill drove the same car 800 miles roundtrip to Phoenix, ran a 12.3 @ Speedworld, and recorded 14.5mpg on the hwy. My kind of racer .

Les

Last time I went to the track, I had a 7.68 @ 90 with a 12.03 @ 113 in the 1/4. I also had 7.64/12.00, 7.62/11.98, and 7.70/12.09. All 1/8 mile speeds were right at 90 and 1/4 speeds right at 113. how does the MPH compare to yours? You might be a little faster in the 1/4 than you think!!!

I betcha got that 11 second itch!

The 7.68 was @ 89.75 mph, so we're pretty close. Thanks!

11 second itch? More like a rash!

Crank is stock, cut 10/10. I'm running Eagle rods and TRW pistons with Jim Butler's lightened pins - You wouldn't believe the difference in weight!

The cam is from LAZER and no, I haven't tried any others. I'm 100% happy with this one. I lopes alot at idle, but with the proper tuning of the carb and the loose convertor I don't have any problems. Sits in SoCal traffic without any complaints.

I also left a reply to your other post about getting in the 12's.
