1969 # 46 heads on a 455
thinking about putting a set of heads on my 455 the heads 1969 #46 400/428 intake 1.96/1.66 exhaust 10 CR Pressed in studs- High Comp.- D port 30 or 45 seat angle (B & G Body) what do all you guys think what are they worth $$ and will they work good or will it be way to much compression on a 455

You will need dished pistons for pump gas. They need to be converted to screw in stud and large valve would be good idea. Also on mine the end exhaust port had to be drilled and tapped for the header bolt. They are a good core to prep for HP use.

I've got a set here, they measured 75cc's. We opened them up for 2.11/1.77 valves and heli-coiled them for screw in studs. On a 455 the CR would be over 11 to 1. They make really nice street heads for the 400 engines, ours are for sale if anyone is looking for a ready to bolt on set of heads?....Cliff
