Default Standard to metric adapters

I have a steering box out of a 85 TA that I want to go into my 74 Formula. Only problem I see is that I have standard hose fittings and I need metric for the 85 box. Anyone know where to get just a adapter or is there another way to do this?

The metric threads are so close they'll work pretty well. The problem is that the seats change from SAE flare to O-ring style. For that you need seat adapters. I have never bought any, but Lee Mfg sells them. No website to speak of.

get the box end off your '85 TA power steering hose and the pump end off the '74, measure the length and take them to a tractor or industrial parts place that does hydraulic hoses for new hose and crimps, used to do it all the time in the old days!

Default hydrolic fittings

Most mining hydrolic suppliers carry these adapters

I bought them and they just tap in the hole . The metric threads are close enough that standard fit.

Whoa, this is an easy one! Just unscrew the metric fitting(part the hose threads into on back of pump which unscrews) from a newer power steering pump with o ring seal and reinstall it into the older pump. Then use the o ring style hose. I did the reverse of this putting an older pump into a newer car. Works perfectly.(put a 71 olds 455 into an 85 Cutlass, used the 71 pump with the 85 fitting)
