Car body?
Engine size?
Trans type?
Rear End?
Existing or prior performance purchases?

These facts might be critical in giving suggestions for those of us who don't know what you have already.

Based on your screen name, First I'd get a can of air freshener then with what's left by a new or used nitrous kit and let her rip (so to speak)

P.S. Welcome to the board

I think I will put some 373 gears in her, thanks everyone for your replies.

On a side note I have the chance to pick up a ford thunderbird supercoupe from a guy down the street foe $500 dollars. I know it's a ford but I always liked these cars but couldn't afford one when they came out. Before I talk to the guy I figured I should ask for opinions around here, you guys seem to be brutally honest so I trust your opinions. Thanks.

On the side note:ie. supercoupe T-birds

Biggest pain in the a$$ you'll ever have to change plugs in!(among other things)

I worked at several ford dealers when these were available new.NEVER cared for them!

I would take one of the V-8 T-birds anyday!

The supercoupes also have a real nasty habit of loosing head gaskets if/when you try turning up the boost also.Usually takes out the O2 sensors and catalytic convertors when this happens too.

So my opinion is take a pass on the superPOOP's!

Thanks screamingchief, guess I'll pass on this then. I get these urges to buy POS cars, I'm not sure why. Like a magnet to junk I guess.

Default Thread resurrection......

I own a SuperCoupe and they run pretty good, you just have to know what you're doin. It only takes me 10min. to change the plugs in this car. It's not as hard as everyone thinks it is. They run good for how badly ford designed the induction system.

The v8 tbirds are just plain out worthless. They have half the potential that an SC does and I have plenty of proof to that.

There's many good features on them too..

Just what this board needs, another person with nothing better to do than dig up old posts and start $#!t for no good reason other than his feelings were hurt by somebody else's comments...

BUUUUWWWWAAAAHHHHAAAAHHHHAAAA!!!!!

I guess this is what happens to your brain on supercoupes!

Like I said,I was working as a tech at ford dealerships when these were new,and I worked on AND beat the piss out of more of these than probably 99% of the population, both stock AND modified,I have had plenty of familiarity with these cars in the past...

Really the whole car was just a knock off of a 6 series BMW if you look at it close enough...

SOOOOO,now your going to try and convince me that if I supercharged and intercooled an aluminum head equipped 5 liter T-bird that the supercoupe would beat it???

Half the potential...

BUUUUWWWWAAAAHHHHAAAAHHHHAAAA!!!!!

Yeah right!!!

Really you should'nt have taken my comments so personally...

I mean just because I would'nt recommend one myself, does'nt mean you need to get upset and dig up this ancient post for no real "obvious" reason.

All of two posts here under your belt...

Welcome to the boards !

But getting back to the Thread if Old Fart would post what he has I'm sure he would get lots of good suggestions.

Personally I never had to figure out what i wanted to do with the money, my problem was acquiring it.

I was just lookin to stir things up. I didn't know that somebody would be childish about it. Just never mind it.

Actually the fastest Tbird is a SC (10.85@127). The fastest V8 Tbird is a 10.97 @125mph) It has a 5.0 with a Kenne Bell 2.2 blower on it and AFR heads.

But, since you want to be a little child about a thread resurrection then just nevermind.

Don't worry about it. SC acts like that fairly regularly.

Nice to see someone can see this for what it is...

Comic relief!!!

THAT was obvious, duhhhh,I WAS just playing along here, but lets keep calling each other babies and see how long that lasts.

JEEEZZZ cant ANYBODY here recognize sarcasm???

I mean lookit all the little emoticons and such,if you think this is serious to me guess again!!!

David, like I told you before,it takes more than just ME to play this game.

If it were just me it would'nt be ANY fun...

Now the new guy picked the one post, from the one thread,to disagree with and found the one guy he could count on to make this intresting, and I congratulate him on his choice, but the truth is this is a pontiac forum,if I wanted to discuss ford T-birds of any sort,I would'nt be here for that...

Give a little respect, and maybe I'll show some mutual respect, and again, welcome to the boards...

BUUUUWWWWAAAAHHHHAAAAHHHHAAAA!!!!!

Brutal,yeah I like that...

THANKS!

You're the one doing a personal attack whenever I was talking about an SC. I wasn't talking about personality. Now that's childish.

You're exactly like so much people drowning in a pool of ignorance. I have said NOTHING at all that has anything to do with maturity. The ONLY thing you are looking at is my age and you have no proof of any acts of maturity on my part.

Say what you say, but it is what it is.....

Relax pal,and maybe I'll go back and take that stuff out,Jeez you just try to have a little fun at somebody else's expense, and they loose all they're composure....

Nobody can take a joke around here.

What a bunch of no humor killjoys.

This was'nt a personal attack, this was just messing with a new guy trying to bring up fords on a PONTIAC specific bulletin board.

And you say I am drowning in a pool of ignorance,do you really understand the meaning of the word????

You admited you posted here to "start something",well guess what, you got "something",if you wanted something "specific",you should have been more specific about what you wanted.

BUT THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN TOO EASY NOW WOULD'NT IT???

Would you just walk into any old bar and start saying stupid $#!t and not expect "something" to happen???

Not a good idea if you expect to see 30 if you ask me...

Sorry if any of this hurt your feelings.

Your going to need a LOT thicker skin around here my friend!

By the way, what kind of pontiacs do you own,or what kind of pontiac related questions do you have???

Did'nt see any of that in your bio...

Enquiring minds would like to know, please do tell...

You're so right about that,I have'nt seen any proof of acts of maturity from you here yet...

And I also have no idea who you are,or where your from,or what you've been thru in your life, just as you have no idea about me,thats how it is with a majority of people here who've never met and have no idea who is on the other side of the keyboard here.

I appologized if I hurt your feelings, and twice welcomed you to the boards, now if you can just calm down for a few minutes and see this for what it was, you'll act like an adult and move past this.

We can end this here and now,you say truce and I'll delete the "raw" stuff, its up to you...
