Default Two Tone 69?

Is it possible for a 69 GTO to have two tone paint? The cowl tag has 59 57 on it, which is midnight green and limelight green.

Default trim

It should show evidence of the "vinyl top" type trim.

TSC, do you have a pic of your car?

I can't tell from the pics if it had a vinyl top molding, the car is in primer. Would these moldings be the same for paint or vinyl? The numbers are 59 57, which would be the top color?
thanks

those numbers are paint codes not vinyl trim . the car was painted 2 tone paint and it used the same moldings as a vinyl trim car

So the car would be midnight green with a limelight green top, that might look pretty cool.

can you guys post any pics of your cars?
Thanks

Back in the day, I knew a guy who had a red body/white top '69, but I know he ordered it that way.

I have a 69 GTO project that was brown with white painted top and gold int.,4spd., I may sell it.

I have seen several two tone GTO's over the years.

Some owners end up painting them one color and that's why you don't see them too often. They are fairly rare.

Goldenrod yellow Judge with a black painted roof? That's got to be one of one.

Actually, there where more than 1 , i don't know the number, but there was a guy i talked to in canada who had one, and another in wash state, but who knows. I also talked to guy that had a golden rod, with a tan painted top. Thats gotta be one of one. I remember 15 years ago, when all the experts said "no two tone Judges" i belive there where many more. I saw a 69 GTO that was red with a painted black top, it was restored to a vinyl top, because the guy just couldn't believe there where painted tops. He thought it was a trim tag mistake.
Like they say, never say never!

There's no good reason to doubt a two-tone Judge. It's rare to see it on a performance car by 1969, but they did exist.
