Default Water pump - internal sealing help.

When I rebuilded the engine, I followed the tip's of making sure the divider plate is close to the fins. But didnt touch/change the fins or rotor.(Had read the Jim Hand - How to build a... where it was mentioned.)
Didnt think I had any problems with my engine and no leaks (Had a white cloth underneith the engine when parked the first days), until I wanted to measure alignment between the generator and pulley yesterday.
When I was under the car I saw traces of water on paint from the "weep hole".

Do you think it's the internal seal that has failed? (Have searched for info regarding this in my shop manuals but it's only mentioned as a "weep hole" where water exits if internal seal has failed...)

It didnt look like it has "flooded" out, and I havent seen a reduced level of cooling fluid.

Do you think it's somethin I should fix immediately?
Tip's of dissasembly?
Is it hard to change this?
Part number?

The engine is a -68 350 H.O

Thanks ; Emanuel

Is the only way to fix this to replace the whole thing? (The pump part)

Give it just a little bit before you replace the pump now that you have fluid in the cooling system after the rebuild. It may start sealing again once the seal "hydrates".

The water pump on my 67 bird was dry for a long time, and started a slow leak from the weep hole after I got the system up to snuff and the engine running. I was gonna replace the pump, and thought "OK, I'll have to get to that in a few weeks". The next week when I started it up there were no drips, and haven't been any since.

The issue is only as urgent as you want to make it. It's only a few drops here and there, unless it starts to squeal or seriously dump coolant. The pump is easy to change out.

I have cleared the area with a cloth so I guess the next peek will tell me to change it out or not.
Thanks for your advices.
