Talking Aluminum Block Makes first 7.26 @ 190 mph pass

Mike Cooper went 7.26 @ 190 mph with the first AllPontiac/Butler aluminum block.

The motor was finish on Friday before Norwalk by Rodney and installed over the weekend. It was so light in the front Mike had to take the car to Jerry Bickel to rescale the car. They had to do major trashing to get it done.

Not bad for the first run. It proved it will take all of the power.

Rodney ran another on the dyno last week something electrical broke It made close to the same as the last time hp.

Great job Mike and crew.

Brian, does that mean I'm not the only one who nearly scores wood everytime I see it.

I've got a little video of a Mark K burnout, but I don't know where to put it for people to see, its just the burnout, as I just started playing with the video on the camera.

I'm not a big fan of red...in fact, I hate red. I'm just admiring the fit and finish of that body.

I feel the same way, the car would be stunning without paint. He got it right.

Brian, you know that blower guys don't share tune-up information. LOL...that is why it is so hard to dial it in.

My sister dated a guy from BDS who tuned for one of the Top Fuel racers. He said that no one ever talks. Mike told me the same when he was trying to get the car tuned in the very beginning.

Mike just may talk to you though. You have mail...

I already have in my head what kind of tune-up I'm putting on it. I was more interested in who made his manifold for him (Hogan?), how much o.d. (if any) he's running, and what size primaries in his headers.

I'm curious though about that vacuum pump being driven off the blower belt idler pulley.
