I have about a 1 1/4 showing. Is this to much?

With the vehicle at ride height, the yoke should be out of the tranny about 1". That is....push the yoke all the way in and back it out 1" and measure the distance.

There are many different slip yokes, so how much is exposed is irrelevent. What really matters is how far from being bottomed out is the slip yoke. There has to be room for suspension travel without the slip yoke bottoming out.

What happens if there is not enough slip and the yoke bottoms out?
