first round of the new points year, i broke the dist drive gear on the top end of the track at appox 90mph,enginne backfired several times befor it came to rest,found problem repaired dist, no other problems found there, inspecteed carb found power valve blown ? no other problems found,checked valve train checked compression, oik press all checked ok, back on the track car stumbles bad, had to pump accseveral times to even get car off starting line, tried three different times after checking all of the obvious, blamed problems on carb( wanted a new one anyway)purchased a 750 db holley from aed still have same problems,?
