My long awaited delivery of my 1 chamber Flowmasters arrived yesterday. I had them installed this morning, and wow do they sound mean. When you stomp on it the car just effin screams. They don't have the real hollow sound like a 2 chamber does. They just straight up growl when you step on it but when it comes back to cruise speed you can tell that there are Flowmasters under the car. I love em' and highly recommend them to someone wanting a truly mean sounding car.
Give me a thumbs up, tell me "Nice Car!", but for god's sake, don't call it an Impala. |

Mine are 3" center/center on 2 1/2" pipes. The smallest they make them are 2 1/2" but any shop should be able to make them work. At idle they are really not that bad. I can feel the rumble a little but no real obnoxious noise. When you step on it though its freakin badass. Talk about a sick sound.

I am running stock manifolds now. I plan on getting a repop Long Branch set up in the spring. I don't get alot of popping and crackle unless I just rev the motor in park. Then it pops alot. But just driving around it sounds badass. Not for the weak of heart thats for sure. If you have a stoutly built motor I would think twice. Those tickets might start to mount up.
