My fuel pressure is about 3to5 psi at idle, stock pump.I have a see thought fuel filter and some times i can see the fuel being pump in other times it's full just a little air bubble on top.Do i need a new pump or is their another problem. I need so help.

Is the carb the Q-jet replacement or the Carter AFB type. Is this hesitation Under load? When you give it gas? (put the pedal to the metal)

Hey Blackcat thanks for responing to my post. The carb. is a direct fit on to the eldbrock intake. I put a space plate in between the intake and the carb. the speed shop guy said i needed it.And the hesitation is at about 2000 rpm or 30 mph. It's almost like a misfire. Replaced the points & coil same thing.Fuel pressure is eratic between 2 to 5 psi.My next step is going to replace cap & rotor.Any suggestion would be helpful.

THANKS DAVE

You might try new plug wires. Could have one or more bad ones.

If your carb is a Q-Jet the secondarys may be opening to fast.

I agree with probrd. My experience with misfires or fuel problems is that if the problem is due to electrical causes the miss is a sharper or quicker miss as opposed to a fuel related miss.
