This should be easy. I have a small leak from the general area of my water pump housing. It usually only leaks overnight when in the garage, and not much water either(maybe 1 cup?)If I remove the radiator cap with the engine off I can cause it to leak right at the base of the "V" on the bottom of the pump housing. Is my water pump gone as I suspect? Could it be the gasket? Could anything else cause water to leak from that area? What is a weep hole(someone mentioned this to me? Any input accepted. Thanks in advance!

When the water pump is on its way out it starts to leak out of a weep hole which is located on the underside of the pump housing. This means that the bearing is going bad. They are blocked from view with some pulleys. Get an extension mirror like a machinist or a dentist uses and look for it. That's more than likely where the leak is coming from.
