Hello, I'm having my heads assembled now and the machinist needs to know the install height for the springs. I am using all Comp Cams parts (springs, lock, retainers, seals) and 1.5 stamped steel rockers. The cam is
Nunzi's 2041HL (222/232@.050 with .450/.470 lift @1.5, LSA is 114, CL is 109, Overlap is 73, and 4 degrees are ground in). Thanks, Kevin |

What's the Comp Cams part # first as this determines if you have the right springs for your application. Later dude. Also what is the retainer height now?

Oh yeah, they are 995-16 for the springs, 611-16 for the locks (11/32, 10 degree), 740-16 for the retainers (steel 10 degree), and 503-16 for the 11/32 teflon seals.

Kevin,
The CC 995 springs should be installed at 1.70". You may also want to use a "hardened" spring shim under them as the damper does a lot of jumping! The 995 spring specs in the catalog are not accurate, so beware of those. Jim Hand |
