Anyone know the specs on this cam? Their website only list the RR 602 and up grinds.
thanks, Daniel |

The closest I could find is: Isky # 901292, 244/244 @ .050, .505/.505 lift, 108 LC. The 110 stamp could be the lobe separation #.

The '505' Magnum was a number Isky used for decades with many engine makes. I only have an old Isky catalog, & it lists the 505-T in the Pontiac section under 'flat tappet hardface overlay' series that require special chilled iron lifters.

Thanks everyone. Tom, what do you run as far as valve lash and do you run this cam on the street?

Daniel,I ran it for a few years on the street. Was a great cam, still have it.Got a wild hair and put in a Comp 246-252 110LC.Could not feel any diff.Call Ron at Isky after noon LA time.He will tell you what to run.If you are going to drive it,ask him how tight you can run them and if after running tighter will adv. it make any diff. The tighter you can run them the longer your lifters will live.I run tight lash,6 thou, rollers on the street now.Tom

Daniel- If Ron can't give you the clearance specs, I've got a suggestion. If you take a look at my 5/23/05 post to "Durability of hydraulic rollers vs solid rollers" an the Race forum (I bumped it to the top to save you searching), and look at the plot of the Isky 505C, you'll notice how pronounced they used to make the clearance ramps on a solid cam. This 505C was a roller, but I've also plotted old flat-face solid lifter cams that show the same thing. If you were to plot this area of your cam, you could probably estimate the designed-in clearance pretty closely. Don't forget to multiply by the rocker ratio to get valve clearance.
