Jerry, I found directions for metal support removal for ram air 66's in The Pontiac GTO Restoration Guide, by Paul Zazarine and Chuck Roberts. I have the old edition of this book, and I only found the 66 cut-out directions. Maybe somebody out there has newer version of this book or better yet can supply you with the exact directions for 67.
