Hello one and all,
Around October of last year I had my front end rebuilt, soup to nuts, with PST components. Shortly after my 2nd alignment, around February, I noticed a metallic "snapping" sound coming from the front end. It happens when the wheel's locked to the right and I'm pulling into a driveway with a lot of "rise" to it so that the right front wheel is significantly higher than the left. Prior to the front end I had all suspension parts, front and rear, replaced with Hotchkis, except for the upper rear control arms. Nobody can find a reason for this or any marks on any components. It doesn't occur that often but it bugs me, which I'm sure you'll all understand so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob G. |

RG,
Take a look at the stabilizer links, one may have loosened up a bit, or the rubber has been chewed up causing the stabilizer bar to snap up against the bolt/washer. Quote:

My64GTO,
Thanks for the reply. Supposedly that was checked along with everything else and I was "told" there's no visible marks anywhere but I haven't checked it myself and that's really what I should do. Your post made me realize that. Thanks, Bob G. |
