Need some advice on mounting a Hurst 1/4 stick shifter, I want to raise it up. I was thinking of making a console? Any pictures or ideas would help.
Thanks Tom

I know you can buy one that will mount in a second gen Firebird's console. Maybe get a junk console from one and cut the top off and make one from there.

You could use what I had said above as a pattern. Just a thought.

Not pretty, but this is in my race only car...with no interior. I made it from stainless.

Yes, it's sturdy. That's why I made it from stainless...it was actually made from a piece of restaurant equipment stainless...a shelf of something. I wanted it to be very robust, which is why you may want to stay away from aluminum. I just bent it so that it put the shifter in the position I wanted, and used 6 bolts thru the floor of the trans tunnel.
