Actually I was quite impressed with the tire. Ran them at the NSCA season opener in Belle Rose La. The only Nostalgia Super Stock car with street tires, full exhaust, stock suspension and full interior. My car weighs in at 3820bs with me in the seat. On the ET Street my normal 60ft's were in the 1.49-1.52 range at this track with the ET Radial it dropped to a 1.47 avg with a 1.45 being best of the day. This was running 18lbs of pressure on a 8 1/2 rim. Required a couple of real heavy burnouts at first to get them to bite then just a hazing in first into second then pulling out of the water box. Will have more results after the Atlanta NSCA race in a couple weeks. Engine out of the car now getting a few upgrades.

I'm no model of consistency as I run a M-22 four speed on a street car and have only had about 10 passes on the track in my car. The M/T Drag Radial helped me get my 60 foot from 2.05 to 1.84, with mid 12's for the 1320. Sticky a$$ tire for sure

I put the MTDR's on the car and drove it tonight. I hit a back road and did a quick launch or two. If they hook on the track like they do on the street I'll be grinning the whole time.

Lookin' good there, Chris!
It appears that you went with the same setup as I now have on my Formula, 275/60's on 15x8 4.5" BS Rally II's.

Close, Lloyd. Those are 275/50's. I went with the shorter tire to give me a bit more grunt due to the stock 3.08 gears.

Cool.
I'll snap a couple of pics of mine, IF I can get the rear suspension back down near where it should be that is. My new Moser 12 bolt 3.42, new Eaton springs and new brakes are finally done, and the car sits way higher than it used to, prolly 2 inches. Hoping that maybe that the spring eye and shackle bushings need to be loosened and then re-tightened with tht suspension loaded!

Crazy as this will sound, I found the best deal at my local speed shop. They beat Summit (sorry, Scott) by $2.00 and I didn't pay shipping. Worth a call.

No, not this year. I have the Nationa F-body Event in Memphis the week before and tht weekend our club is doing another Poncho Power Tour.
We normally do the PPT in the fall but we're switching to a spring run due to other commitments in the fall so May got pretty jammed up for me. Sorry.

Hoping we could maybe have a 2 out of 3 grudge match, since our cars are fairly evenly matched! The suspension settled a little, so I'm not quite so embarassed to show a few pics. Here's the first one . . .

Final boring pic for today.
The Moser 12 bolt install went well. Gears are quiet, Eaton posi is tight but quiet as well - no chattering on turns. Used 80W90 dino oil with one bottle of GM posi additive - per Moser's instructions. 3.42 US Gear R&P and 33 spline axles. One thing I've certainly noticed is how much flatter my car corners now. No huge surprise since I finally welded on a replacement RH upper rear sway bar strut bracket. The car now has a 13/16" rear bar on it for the first time since I've owned it!

I'll wager the car would pick up 0.3 - 0.4 seconds and 3 or 4 MPH in the 1/4 with a true dual setup. Hoping the new Tom Hand / PYPES system will do that AND keep the OEM look! I do want the car to sit level though - like this old pic from the 2003 PSN's!
