Did Pontiac ever release a color vs. total production breakdown for the '70 Judges. I have a '70 Atoll blue 4 spd Judge with a sandalwood cordova top. Does anyone know how common or rare this color combo is? Anyone know wich colors were the most popular? Thanks

I don't have a break down on only Judge colors, but Atoll Blue was the most popular color for the GTO/Judge in 1970. There were 4980 GTO/Judges paint that color in 1970, followed by Granada Gold (4664), Cardinal Red (3777) and Pepper Green (3661). The least popular color was Orbit Orange (618) and Mint Turquoise (774).

Thanks Glenn I have been asking everyone I meet that question with no luck.
How did you find that info? If it's not too much trouble do you think you could e-mail me the full color breakdown? I would really appreciate it Thanks again

Glen,
Is that color production info from Thomas DeMauro's new book? Where can I buy a copy?

Yes, it is DeMauro's new book. I ordered mine last September (pre-publication) from Amazon. Received it in November or December. Lots of good stuff that I've never seen before. "Original Pontiac GTO The Restore's Guide 1964-1974" |

1970 and 1971 are the only years that this information is available.

I think that Orbit Orange and Atoll Blue are probably the most popular colors for Judges in 1970.

Thanks for the e-mail Glenn
It seems like all the '70 Judges around here are Cardinal red,Polar white,or Orbit orange. I have not seen another Atoll blue Judge anywhere around here, nor can I find any pictures of one on the internet. I have seen lots of Atoll blue GTOs, but not any Judges.

I think white and red are popular too. Pepper Green is another common one.
I am willing to bet Mint Turquoise is the rarest Judge color. |

In the late 80's I owned a 70 Atoll Blue RAIII Judge. It was auto with blue interior, PS, disc brakes, 3.55 posi and wood wheel. Also had in-dash tach/gauges. I sold it to a guy in SC who completely restored it. I now own a 69 Limelight Green RAIII 4 speed Judge.

I tried to buy a '69 limelight ramair 3 4spd Judge before I found my '70. The guy would rather watch it rot than sell it. Do you have any pictures that you can e-mail? I really love that color.

Verdero Green more popular than Liberty Blue? Or even Midnight Green?
