Are the 8581 standard head gaskets ok for NOS use?If not would oringing the block and copper be the way to go?Also I am building and eagle rodded 462 and I am wondering about oil pumps with all the side rod clearance thats comes along with the eagles..any suggestions. I am planning onspraying a 150 to 200 shot also I am running arp bolts.
Thanks,
Roger

I've been running the cheap Fel-Pro's with nitrous for years and I've never had a problem. Iron heads & bolts installed clean and torqued incrementally about 35/75/100ftlbs. The side clearance on my Eagles varied from around .014 to .030 but I've been running now for 31/2yrs and the bearings are perfect. 60psi pump, 7qt pan, shifted @ 7000rpm so maybe that's how critical that is. If anything I'd be more concerned if they were too tight.
