hey everyone got a little question for ya i just got done putting a set of timing gear drives in my pontiac 455 and didnt have a gasket to use on the timing cover nothing was open to get a new one and the old one was no good so i decided to use ultra blue gasket maker ???? do you guys think that it will hold up as well as a gasket

as long as you had the parts cleaned well and didn't use too much of the silicone it'll hold.
it's not my first choice in methods but it'll work. mike
