I'm looking at an "82 T/A and was wondering if someone could tell me what it is.
VIN# 162AW87H3CL566089
Also, this car has a 4-speed manual. I read somewhere that this is a Super T-10. Is this the same trans used in the '70's birds?

the "super" t-10 in the 82 is a lighter unit than the earlier models from what i understand. [ this comes from my trans rebuilder] i'm pretty certain the ratios were different also.

the last couple of issues of hpp had a decent tech article on the 4spds, i didn't read the last installment but it may be worth your while to pick it up for more info.

the H engine code tells me it's a 305 engine, usually that code was carbureted.

hope this helps,

mike

That second number (6) is a 'G'.
According to the VIN it's a 1983 TA.

It came with the LU5 305.Made in Van Nuys.
