Here's the low down I got from "Crower" first of all forget about the clearance between the snap ring and pushrod seat that is normal deal. I told him that I checked the new lifters and am sure they will cure the lack of oiling up to the rockers and this was confirmed with a flow test. The stock GM flow specs for a lifter is 2.5 GPH (gallons per hour). First we checked 4 of my old ones. 3 of them flowed 2.5 I wanted one of the damage ones check and it flowed around 2.2 GPH he said thats a little low but within the specs. Then we tested the new lifters and they flowed 6 GPH more than double of what I had in my old ones. Gee I wonder why they did that!
Has anyone use a 60311 solid crower cam with the older camsaver lifters.*they had no extra grooves in the side just the oil band. Did you have any problems?
Thanks
