Anyone know of an aftermarket shifter for automatic that will work with the factory GTO console?

You might try Shift Works. I haven't used them, but a fellow recommended them to me. He bought a shifter that he said fit well, looked stock, and worked with the 700R4 he put in.

Here is their web site:

Good luck!

ok now does anyone know where I can get the chrome cover like thing for the shifter button? My shifter is in good shape but the button cover is missing. I have a big piece of white plastic sticking outta the top and it looks bad.

My 65 is the same way 64speed. I have heard that maybe the chrome was just worn off, but if you hear different and find a place to get one pass it on!
