I have posted this in other areas. I am restoring a 65 lemans with a 326. I have the chance to buy a 95 caprice police package very low miles that supposedly has a 350 cid corvette engine (LT1??) Will the engine and tranny fit my lemans? I will have the whole chevy so all parts will be avaiulable, I can buy the whole car for less than a crate 350. any ideas? all commentsd/info appreciated.

it will fit with motor mounts replaced, you can even get a carb intake for it if you dont want to try to retain all the electronics. tranny crossmember will need some modification to use the overdrive.

Isn't "police package with very low miles" an oxymoron, kinda like "jumbo shrimp" or "temporary tax increase"?
